Is it really "slashing" if it's 5%? That is, half of these folks could be hiring/HR people who were brought on in the last couple years as many tech companies went on hiring sprees. And the other half could be quiet-quitters who might have been laid off even in normal times. Does anyone know more about what types of employees were affected?
