Ask HN: Bad for financials to get sba microloan

Hey, Working on my tech startup side project and would like to get some money to keep my focus on it. Does it look bad if I get a microloan from the U.S. SBA? Am sending out pitch deck for pre-seed / seed funding at same time as I work on this. Also if there's a place I can go to find this info lmk (an IRC channel, discord, etc), thanks

Private loan or business loan? To VCs it sends the signal you're desperate which puts you in a worse negotiation position.

  Business loan, yeah I don't want to send that kind of signal but objectively need to bring in some money. Any way to make it look strong? Everyone needs money to operate
