If the evidence coming out now is any indicator, I think we will continue to be gouged. The failure of this merger does not suddenly eliminate all of the anti-competitive intent in the executives. If anything this underscores the fact that this (and many other market segments) are dominated by cartels that actively collude in ways that harm consumers. And the government won't do a damn thing about it.
