I understand. One time I wanted to understand what linux CGroups are, this is what I read in the official linux manual:
> Control Groups provide a mechanism for aggregating/partitioning sets of tasks, and all their future children, into hierarchical groups with specialized behaviour.
> Definitions:
> A cgroup associates a set of tasks with a set of parameters for one or more subsystems [...]. [1]
Completely incomprehensible!

- kragen 3y agoi don't find that example too bad, but maybe because i've been doing cgroupish things since last millennium with chroot, ptrace, ld.so hacks, virtual machines, etc., on different operating systems. a list of definitions like that is not a good introduction to the problem space this is an example where the inherent complexity of the problem space is significant, but unix adds a lot of unnecessary difficulty on top of it, and the documentation you linked is pure reference with no tutorial component, which is an unnecessarily difficult way to learn about it
