Learning Hangul got me out of a rut when the pandemic started. I was very unmotivated and decided I needed to shake things up so spent an evening with a case of beer writing a program in Go (a language I hadn't used before at the time) to help me practice Hangul. I don't remember a thing now, but I could indeed read it very consistently after just a few hours. Learning interesting things again got me motivated and out of that rut.
