If Uptime is important, how do you handle it when you want to update your software under C++ or C? You have to bring the service down. Erlang supports updating software while its still running. Nginx has a hot update feature and is entirely written in C.

I'm glad it has that feature, but you have to write it yourself. I wasn't saying it was impossible to do in C. Erlang has it built in, along with frameworks in OTP to make it easy to do.
