Is it possible to run related microservices on a single kata container
Did not find enough documentation on Kata, on whether it is possible to run related services (multiple workers, different processes) on a kata container?
- cpach 3y agoTo me it seems like that would defeat the purpose of containers. Why would you want to? With that said, it might be possible if you use a process supervisor like s6, or maybe systemd.
- manoj_kumar70 3y agoThe reason behind is the ancillary services that uses same raw disk. Exposing the same raw disk to different kata containers would be a mess :)
- cpach 3y agoI see. Would it be possible to make those services write to an object store or a database instead? To me, that seems much more container-compatible. However, have a look at https://github.com/just-containers/s6-overlay https://github.com/just-containers/s6-overlay – I think it can do what you want.
