this is yet another reason why we need go back to self-hosting and indieweb movement. To own our own platforms and content and keep them away from just being sold like that. That's a disgusting move by Automattic.
- endofreach 3y agoI mean most people who care about it & are tech-savvy enough are either self-hosting already... or, realizing (after spending way too much time on getting something running securely), they don't care that much after all.
- wormius 3y agoYeah I used WP, but pondered static gen for a while. This seals the deal. Deleted my WP blog. It's like when 6A bought LJ levels of disgust from me.
