What happened to all the proof of stake stuff? Did that just fall out of vogue?
- JamesLefrere 3y agoEthereum made the switch from PoW to PoS in 2022. It was called The Merge https://ethereum.org/roadmap/merge https://ethereum.org/roadmap/merge It’s unlikely that Bitcoin will ever do the same, for the same reason Ethereum was created separately in the first place: they (BTC community in general) don’t want to add or change anything, because they perceive that as diminishing its value. Oh well.
