Amazon lobbyists face ban from European Parliament
- amznburn 3y agoExcellent news. I hope the US quickly follows suit and shuts their abhorrent labor practices down.
- subtypefiddler 3y ago"Amazon representatives were invited to attend an employment committee hearing on "Working Conditions in Amazon Warehouses" on Jan. 23, but did not show up, claiming that the notice of about a month had been too short." “It is unreasonable for members to be lobbied by Amazon while at the same time being deprived of the right to represent the interests of European citizens and inquire about claims of breaches of fundamental rights enshrined in EU Treaties and EU labor laws” The ban seems very reasonable!
- bboygravity 3y agoHow is lobbying (a nice word for bribing) reasonable at all for anybody?

- morelish 3y agoWould be interesting to see the EU say none of the projects it funds can use AWS until Amazon play ball.
- toomuchtodo 3y agoEurope continues to lead the way.
