- graemep 3y agoOn the other hand in Sheffield there was a huge movement from residents to stop the cutting down of trees. Everyone I know there supported it.

There were wrongful arrest payouts, more trees planted and everyone started working together to plant more trees. - nonrandomstring 3y agoI think about doing this. Just guerilla tree planting. Harvest saplings from where they're obviously not going to thrive, grab a foldable entrencher and just hit spots that need a bit of reforestation. However I suspect most of them wouldn't take and that there's a bit more to successful tree planting than I suppose.
- graemep 3y agoI would have to ask my friends there to be sure, but AFAIK the campaign was successful, despite the plans being entrenched by long term contracts. It is a pretty good example of why long term complex outsourcing is a bad idea.
