Some states in the USA are rapidly moving towards Taliban like extremism and I don't think I'm exaggerating. From a European standpoint it always was easy to joke about 'those crazy book burning Americans' but I think it's past the point of being funny as real people are being harmed now. With lots of christians being major hypocrites (a majority appears to vote for Trump, a self professed apathetic sinner) I wonder if they really have those christofascist beliefs or if they are just abusing the ruleset in a fading religion in order to gain power. As an atheist it's easy to conclude they are angering people enough to set themselves apart in order to gather enough votes for carrying out their corporate sponsores agendas. Are there true American christians here who care enough to enlighten me?
