The culture war in the state government has empowered anyone to be able to weaponize their dislike for differing opinions even if they are facts. So many professors are watering down their curriculum out of fear of persecution/reprimands. Students can report professors for teaching subjects or materials they find offensive to the state rather than handling such matters internally at the school.
