The Neanderthals survived at least one ice age.

They'd need that anyway.
- jgilias 3y agoThem hunting all year round is much more plausible than having cattle in caves throughout the winter. I don’t know what’s your experience when it comes to animal husbandry, but just the amount of manure that this activity would generate somewhere in a corner of a cave is something that we would’ve found. There’s no shortage of mammals surviving winters by hunting in biting cold. From foxes to wolves to lynx.
