Responsibility and control are commensurate.
The question is, what is it to be?
Growing-up and maturing means taking control, and therefore taking
responsibility of things. But I see a world of people keen to avoid
responsibility, and give up control in order to get there. A lot of
digital technology seems designed to help with that quest to abandon
responsibility rather than to gain it.

have to experience it." -- Max Frisch
