UWP is a disaster, is what it is. Not that WPF, Windows Forms, MFC, and Win32 are any better, of course. If I had to choose a Microsoft UI tech for a Windows app nowadays, I'm going with WPF. If I could choose any tech at all, I'd probably pick Electron.
