- hbn 3y ago> MSFT has turned into innovative 2000 era GOOG. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Last week I updated my computer and when I booted it up next time they removed the "show desktop" button in the bottom right corner and replaced it with a shortcut to their AI that's still in preview. Hardly innovative. That's barely scratching the surface of how tactless they are with shoving ads for themselves and upsells into everything, and use dark patterns to get you to switch browsers. They're still the megacorp they ever were, but are hiding behind the years of built goodwill of companies they've purchased like Github and NPM.
- steveBK123 3y agoImagine a hypothetical for a moment though. GOOG instead acquires Github/NPM and runs them proactively into the ground and then sunsets the project like they do with so many things.
