- ZeroGravitas 3y agoThe talking point I keep reading about how China accidentally built too much EV capacity and now must scramble to sell the excess capacity abroad in order to avoid disaster is achingly dumb.

- Zigurd 3y agoIt's not something to ignore. But Chinese car makers have done very little selling of gas cars outside of emerging markets. The relative simplicity of EVs is an advantage and they are selling in Europe already. In other words, the headline "In 5 years US complacency will have dire consequences," doesn't get as many clicks. But we don't have to wait that Chinese: Hyundai/Kia is going to dominate legacy car makers the way things are going now.
