Pretty sure mine has a similar problem. On some games I ran out of memory at random after 1-2 hours of gameplay (with 32gb of ram and a 3080 on returnal for example). Then once every 3-4 months, my computer would slow weirdly to a crawl, even when it's just idling on the desktop. It would be so slow that it wouldn't be able to shutdown, only brutal shutdown is the option. I thought it was the ssd initially, or the gpu, but it sounds like it could be the cpu.
