Microplastics found in 300 year old lake sediment
- Kerbonut 3y agoWhat if it’s contamination in the extraction or measurement equipment?
- dreamcompiler 3y agoThey seem to have addressed that pretty carefully.
- fxtentacle 3y agoMisleading title Small plastic can slide down, that's why you can find it in the 300 year layer.
- exegete 3y agoDid the title change? It currently is: “Downward migrating microplastics in lake sediments are a tricky indicator for the onset of the Anthropocene”
- ETH_start 3y agoLittle bit close minded that the scientists didn't consider the obvious alternative hypotheses: that those microplastics are relics of a lost, advanced civilization.
- guax 3y agoClearly aliens.
- scovetta 3y agoThis is why you need to be careful when time traveling.
- beretguy 3y agoSorry… :(
- virusduck 3y agoReminds me of that age old question... We find all these dinosaur fossils in mines for metals and fuel. It makes you wonder if they were just another bunch of animals, what were they all doing mining for industrial materials?
- burnerthrow008 3y agoThis is also why I am very suspicious of homicide detectives. Someone really ought to investigate these people who are always seen in the vicinity of a murder… I mean, that’s your prime suspect right there.
