Experiencing the hottest 12 months in the last 200 years says nothing about the longer trend.
- tpm 3y agoIt's also the hottest 10 years in the last 200 years. And so on.
- imgabe 3y agoRegardless of what the temperatures are, one group of 10 years would have been the hottest 10 years in the last 200 years, because, you know, that's how numbers work. Some are bigger than others and it would be exceptionally unlikely for the temperature to be exactly the same every year. I just can't be bothered with this kind of fear-mongering. Guys, you'll never guess what happened! We collected a bunch of measurements and one of them was the biggest! Oh, no!
