in the case of intraracial photos it seems (statistically reasoning) that google has some understanding of the search and it is intentionally ignoring the search terms in favor of something "better".
- dash2 3y agoThere is actually a possible innocent explanation of this. * Google image search mostly looks at image captions. * Relatively few people caption their pictures "Me and Jane, a proud white woman and white man". Like, only white supremacists. * Relatively many people caption their pictures, "me and John, a white woman with a black husband". Like, interracial couples. * "white woman" becomes associated with interracial couples. * So does "white man". I don't know if this is the true story, but it would be funny if so.
