- ZeroGravitas 3y agoI thought the bit at the start about the ghost of an 19th century King being disappointed that there were so many people "living off the state" as retirees was just an ironic and un-self-aware bit of intro fluff, but no... he really finished up with a call to dump democracy for authoritarian rule.
- Acrobatic_Road 3y agoDemocracy is authoritarian rule. If you are a young person living in an aging society, there is no real "democracy" for you.
- joaonmatos 3y agoI’m a young Portuguese that left the country for better opportunities, part of the demographic this “author” claims to care for, and it’s hard to not feel disgust at the cynicism and extreme liberal bias. Apparently everything is the socialists’ fault and the center right parties just didn’t kowtow to fascists hard enough.
- JetSpiegel 3y agoIt's even worse than that: the so-called "center right" party was explicitly formed to emulate Olof Palme and the nordic social democracies (as the name implies). Only after the troika intervention did PPC pushed it to the neoliberal right.
