- rdtsc 14y agoStill kind of wish computer science should have ended up being called "Cybernetics", it is a much cooler word.

- rdtsc 14y agoWell yeah I now that it is a term that means something else. I was just being silly saying I wish Computer Science would have stolen the Cybernetics label for itself.
- gaius 14y agoIndeed, former Ukrainian PM Yulia Tymoshenko was a Cyberneticist-Economist in the oil industry before going into politics. I suppose we in the West would call that Operations Research.
- rdtsc 14y agoInformatics is another name used in Eastern Europe. Kind of interesting because the emphasis is on manipulation of information in general.
