People don't get it: it's not AI that is valued high, it's the dollar that is worthless.
If the US wants to win in Ukraine it needs to print like a mad man, look at the SPR; it tells you the truth (albeit with 3 months lag for mere mortals).
This is the end game, no matter what the eternal growth crowd says.
How money (and empires) die.
- dageshi 3y agoThe US is spending the equivalent of pocket change in Ukraine, if a decade+ of war in Afghanistan and Iraq didn't blow the US up, funding the Ukrainians certainly isn't.
- darthrupert 3y agoUSA is not fighting in Ukraine. Ukraine is. To suggest otherwise disregards their exceptional heroism.
- the_doctah 3y agoIt's referred to as a proxy war for a reason. Naked idealism is worthless. How many US dollars is their heroism worth?
- darthrupert 3y agoHow much money was lost when Hitler wasn't stopped in time? Roughly that much.
- thendrill 3y agoUkraine fighting on behalf of the USA. Better ?
- wiseowise 3y agoUkraine is fighting on behalf of Ukraine.
- lm28469 3y agoSure, but everybody's losing besides the US military–industrial complex for which it is a true net positive
- dukeyukey 3y agoI'd argue the people of Ukraine are 'winning' compared to if Russia won. Like I really don't know what people expect Ukraine to do other than fight - get annexed and endure another Holodomor? It's not exactly a choice.
- lm28469 3y agoIt could be worse but they took a bigger hit than germany or france during either world war demographically, best case scenario they get their entire territory back, spend 10+ years on demining, another 10+ years on rebuilding and the next 50 years getting back to their pre war population. On the other side the US gets free weapon testing range, weakens russia like never before, keep the military industry afloat, use all their soon to expire/expired stocks, sign military and construction contracts for the eventual post war rebuilding, &c.
- wood_spirit 3y agoSo stupid of Russia to invade countries then?
- darthrupert 3y agoIf Ukraine had been losing, there wouldn't be an independent country called Ukraine right now.
- darthrupert 3y agoNo, just as bad a lie.

- wiseowise 3y agoIf US wanted Ukraine to win, the war would’ve been finished long time ago.
- raccoonDivider 3y agoWhat do you think the US wants? Attrition Russia’s army?
- wiseowise 3y agoDon’t know. But not Ukraine to win, for sure. Otherwise they’d be armed to the teeth by now. https://www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2019/09/12/the-annual-cost-of-the-war-in-afghanistan-since-2001-infographic/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2019/09/12/the-an...
- PKop 3y agoWeakening both Europe and Russia in relation to themself. Part of the rationale for NATO, for blowing up Nord Stream, and any other geopolitical strategy that causes chaos on the "World Island"[0] and opposes consolidation/strength from potential rivals.
