Cold emails, messages and calls have become the new evil that makes everyone else’s life a misery. It used to be that account managers would work hard to ensure their target list was fit for purpose. Now the only criteria is “did we get it from a paid list”? Every cold message I get goes to spam without me even processing it these days. I do entertain myself once in a while going into my spam and counting the number of follow-up emails, each sounding more desperate and pathetic than the last.
