I learned Haskell recently, and I thought ChatGPT was a great support for that effort. It helped me with definitions, standard recipes and disambiguation. What it wasn't very good at was coding: it couldn't solve anything I did not know how to solve, but it was quite good for things I did know how to solve but couldn't be bothered to. For example, I could ask it to re-write a messy snippet of maps and filters as a list comprehension, and it would. The comprehension it produced may not work, but I could still glean enough from the approach that it would be useful.
I'd also ask it to re-write existing code "more canonically" or "more succinctly". Again, it fails to do this almost every time, but often it uses something that I didn't know existed whilst doing it, which I found to be valuable.
