What does you mean by "less productive having to operate in a smaller area"?
- spacebanana7 3y agoA modern farm vet can credibly service farms within a 100 mile radius of their home because of motorised transportation. Without that form of transport, travelling 100 miles and back in a day becomes untenable, and vets may only be able to operate within a few miles of their home. So without motorised transport, we'd need more farm vets per square mile of agricultural land in the country.Thus more farms vets in total employment and more people living in rural areas overall.
