One of the fascinating things that came out of this is the price these commercial APT groups run, 60k for hacking the Vietnamese government feels shockingly low. It's no wonder so many moonlight doing intellectual property theft and such, I wonder if it's an unspoken part of the compensation for doing work for the government.
- alephnerd 3y agoVietnamese government salaries and competency are pretty weak by Asian standards ime. The MPS and PAVN are decently competent but every other portion of the Vietnamese government is fairly weak. That said, this is a common issue across developing Asia tbh - even China.
