Ah there was a similar article earlier -- note that there is a supply shortage. Excited to see if Chinese manufacturing brings a safe & effective alternative to some of the common formulations that can put pricing pressure and bring price down and increase availability. IIRC the Sinovac vaccine was not super effective, but at this point there are so many formulations of the drugs, and plenty of Chinese researchers producing research (I see them every once in a while during my research paper roundups[0]) studying effects that it seems like china could catch up here.
