I would totally give back-end a try as a front-end dev. I think the line between front-end and algorithms is shifting as tech like Webpack and React dominates the front-end tech industry. While I’m not a back-end engineer per se, I do believe that AI makes the line between front and back blur in fun and interesting ways. Front-end can always rely on their favorite engineer from the other department to finish the job :) J
