I sometimes say USAian too. It's more accurate than "American" (which might include eg Argentinians) or "North American" (which might include Canadians). I imagine some people might use it to avoid insulting one or even two entire continents; but I hope it doesn't evolve into a slur. The word is far too useful! I wonder if anyone ever gets called an EUian?
