Apple iPhone 15 battery can retain 80% of capacity after 1000 charge cycles
- rickdeckard 3y agoBeside of achieving a cycle-life of 1000, it's most impressive to me that they managed to get away with only 500 cycles for that long. 500 is actually average for many years now, Premium smartphones used to introduce batteries with a cycle-life of 800 already ~10 years ago [1], using more expensive batteries... (However, I'm not sure if they rolled back to 500 on newer products then and stopped talking about it, considering that apparently noone cared...) - rickdeckard 3y agoFunny, I also only googled it myself and it was loading just a few hours ago. Anyway, the first product I'm aware of supporting a battery cycle-life of 800 was the LG Optimus G in 2012, with a battery from LG Chem
