The UK is a wholesale exporter of terror and calamity, or haven't you been paying attention? The world is absolutely on fire today because of actions taken by the British to protect their empire as it crumbled.
British Colonialism and the Stolen Generation (and White Stolen Generation) are absolutely connected, and any attempt to disassociate from this heinous period in the recent history of the UK is merely cowardice.

I know you don't lay out your first comment in a perfectly programmatic, unambiguous, chronological way (one doesn't need to use English like a programming language, ever, afterall!!). But it's perfectly coherent with a bit of comprehension, and joining the dots. All those things are very much connected! Perhaps the other commenter is not so much taking issue with your painful experience and relation of historical forces -- they just don't understand it or how you express it. It seems to be if it was presented to them in a more linear history analysis way, and they were given time to ruminate on it, they would definitely understand it. And maybe even completely come around to your way of seeing it! :) One can only hope, I suppose! :) Oh well, the tyranny of assumed subtext that doesn't overlap with where each commenter comes from I guess. Haha! :)
