- staunton 3y agoIndeed, my grandma is on Martix (I did help her set it up though)
- godelski 3y agolol I can barely get my grandma to text. My parents don't even get Signal. Most of it is will power though, no one gives a fuck. In fact, most of the people in my CS grad program think both are too hard to use and don't see the point of using encrypted messengers. Even people studying security aren't using Signal. Yes, I think its odd too.
- BlueTemplar 3y agoThe willpower bit can be countered with your own : refuse to use the software you deem harmful. (It's easier to never start a bad habit than to stop it.)
