Thank you for this, I sadly couldn't get it to work reliably, but nonetheless a cool project.
I wondered what HN thought about it, and to my surprise I saw that it was never submitted!
- raphaelj 3y agoWhere are you located? I do not have full coverage of all countries: https://datethis.app/about#coverage https://datethis.app/about#coverage Some smartphones or apps also do not record the full audio spectrum. iPhones works well, but Android support is not as good.
- SushiHippie 3y agoGermany, on the google pixel 8 pro, so maybe the mic is the problem. I tested it multiple times, and either it couldn't find the frequency (my feedback would be to still show the audio graph, to see what the algorithm "sees"), or there were just low percentage matches which absolutely didn't fit.
