A fan of Theory of Constraints. There are a number of books that are worth reading. I've used the basic tenants a few times in software development and once as a PM that was doing computer infrastructure setup in a building being built. It's worth reading "The Goal" first. If you like it take a look at the others in the series. Goldratt died a number of years ago, not sure who is pushing his works now.
