I use boring architectures: JS/TS hitting a single C# server hitting a single database. I have had to (and gotten the opportunity to) learn about: - Environmental chemistry - Mass balance simulations - Wastewater treatment processes - Geotechnical engineering - Ecology - Mass transit systems And quite a bit more. I could not agree with you more. Even without the broad range of interesting subject matter, there's no end to intellectually stimulating work simply trying to architect a system well.
