My wife is a UI/UX designer and (in my opinion, a pretty good one) was searching for a job.
While she was having the interview for the UI/UX job, she got asked "Out of curiosity, do you wear that often?" referring to her cultural attire and headscarf. As she replied "Yes, why are you asking that".
I didn't get much more of the conversation, but the next day she told me she wasn't hired and she should have checked the dress code on the site. Funny enough, the site doesn't have a section for it. In fact, they have a section that there is no room for discrimination towards religion, race or anything.
Now, she is at a good place as she got a pretty decent job. But it got me thinking of a job board where for people in tech and UI/UX designers can apply without showing their face, name, and resume until the company likes your profile. See it as a dating app haha.
Would love your feedback please :)

- joshxyz 3y agoi like this. in crypto scene it's common to hire people based on their open source work instead of their credentials. you're only known by an alias and you're paid through your randomly generated crypto wallet address. requires a lot of trust.
- Salmantln 3y agoThanks so much. I do have to say that people will know who you are the moment the company likes your profile.
