I am a student who hasnt even landed a summer internship, so take what I am about to say with a grain of salt. I take "I have the (financial) risk tolerance to work at a startup" to mean you have some savings built up. Why not just take your time job searching? All companies aren't the same. Instead of focusing on looking for a "startup" instead look for any company that fosters the type of environment that you want to work in.
