2023 Annual Rust Survey Results
- zdw 3y agoThe non-heterosexual making up nearly half of respondents, and more than double the number of women/perceived-women seems quite high. Is Rust just unusually popular in LGBT+ circles? Why? Most of the other developer surveys (python, go) I've seen don't seem to collect this kind of representation data.
- p4ul 3y agoI might be wrong, but the wording of that question suggests it was only answered by people who consider themselves part of an underrepresented or marginalized group. So only a subset of the survey's responders answered. This is also supported by the fact that the question was only completed by 1322 responders, which is about 10% of total responders.
