Something that I've noticed is that all of the killer examples of AI doing amazing stuff are not really easily reproducible by normal users. If someone spent countless hours crafting prompts to generate a really cool image or something, then that's much less impressive. It's kind of like the sales demo vs. the actual product you receive.
