Airbnb Host Scams Renter
- tobinfekkes 3y ago4 years ago, I refused to use Airbnb any longer over a similar "support issue". They operate in this weird middle ground trying to please customers on one end, and hosts in the other end, taking money from both. Because of this, they conveniently avoid responsibility for atrocities on either end. It's the classic "narcissistech" behavior where Airbnb reserves the right to benefit if everything goes right, but someone else bears the risk when something goes wrong and "we'd love to help but there's nothing we can do (even though we built and operate the marketplace)". It's insidious. And I've had a magnificent time at hotels ever since. It's a treat not having to do the laundry and dishes when I check out :)
