dude hosting data costs money, why do you think you should get terabytes of data hosting for a tiny price. Obviously they're a stable, good platform, if you've been on them for 15 years. Paying for a good service that you like is like what every other industry does why is email any different..
- KomoD 3y ago> why do you think you should get terabytes of data hosting for a tiny price I've got 30GB on my plan, I use 5GB. The only feature I use is Mail and I was perfectly fine paying €6.50 for that, now I'll be paying €8.50, I'm not costing them much but they're making a lot from me.
- aunderscored 3y agoThe point would be that if anything, storage and hardware costs have come down for large users like Google. So these cost increases are purely profit motivated, rather than due to the cost to company increasing.
