how is it for productivity?

  It depends on what you’re trying to do. This is part of why I suggest trying it for yourself, it’s very hard to get a good sense from what others can say. As for me, I wouldn’t replace my desktop with this personally (albeit I might get rid of my monitor) but it would very likely replace my MacBook Air at some point.
