I would really like to see if this is a stand Apple could or would make. Apple obviously thinks it has a lot of power, but does it think it could wholesale exit a market? Apple's introduction of alternative app market rules (and the fees they intend to charge for them) shows that Apple is willing to follow the rule, but make it painful enough that few would take that alternative. I doubt they'd leave the market entirely, but obviously they're willing to test the resolve of the EU's law and rulings.
