Indeed, it seems they cherry picked random sentences and chose to be offended. Taking it to its conclusion (had they bothered to read the article) they would realise that the article is about dark mode zealots not dark mode users (of which I sometimes am, and I have astigmatism). People really are reading half articles these days. I even provide a link to a paper on this too.
