Kyiv Is Using Homegrown Tech to Treat the Trauma of War
- walteweiss 3y agoIt’s a pleasure to see western media writing Kyiv correctly, not as it was before, the incorrect Russian spelling you might encounter everywhere. It took time for masses to learn, but it feels more widespread now than it was just two years ago. I personally participated in online comments to draw attention to the issue and telling to English-speaking communities that its correct spelling matters to Ukrainians. There will be people who will widespread the ‘who cares, it was Kiev since a gazillion years ago’ Russian narrative— but it matters to many Ukrainians, and it’s a part of their fight for their independence and a sovereign country they have. So thank you everyone who uses the correct spelling as well. That way you also help Ukraine to fight for its freedom.
