This isn't true. We already have a legal structure for a bunch of people working together, that's called a general partnership. Corporations are shielded from the vast majority of criminal penalties and essentially make truly punitive damages non-existent. This is something no person has - I can't discharge fines in bankruptcy and I can't decide that the only punishment I'll ever have are fines.
