How does Dali? They're talking about replacing existing human artists with AI systems ('Martin Scorsese with Midjourney'). They certainly won't be swapping anyone out for Dali, since he's no longer even alive. What they meant was swapping out Christopher Nolan for DALL・E.
...perhaps you hadn't made the connection between Dali and DALL・E — I didn't immediately.
- slater 3y agoI get what you're saying, but what weirds me out is that the latter - scorsese & midjourney - are ostensibly comparing creatives (tortured re: midjourney, but still...), whereas DALL・E is... a small, mobile, trash-compacting robot. Which doesn't fit with Christopher Nolan unless it's some reeeeally odd, ham-fisted criticism of Nolan's movies...?
